Workshop description
Researchers manage notes, references, ideas, and to-do lists across projects and tools, often losing track of connections. A reliable knowledge management system can make research more efficient and less stressful. This hands-on workshop introduces effective digital note-taking principles using Obsidian, free software that runs on all operating systems. Participants will learn to organize their academic work in one interconnected place.
By the end, every participant will leave with their own Obsidian notebook and practical workflows they can build on for their research.

The instructor
Iโm a scientific programmer at Freie Universitรคt specialized in theoretical ecology. During my PhD, I struggled to find a note-taking system that worked long-term. Discovering Obsidian helped me build workflows that support my day-to-day academic work.
